Biography

Prof. Andrés Velázquez leads the territorial intelligence and fabrication modules at MIAW. His work focuses on embedding AI-driven analysis pipelines — from satellite imagery processing to parametric structural optimisation — into standard AEC workflows without requiring research infrastructure.

A trained architect with postgraduate specialisation in computation and fabrication, he has led digital design and fabrication laboratories at two European architecture schools and delivered AI integration projects for engineering consultancies working on large-scale infrastructure.

At MIAW he is responsible for Modules F1, F4, and F7 — covering AI-driven territorial strategies, building simulation pipelines, and robotic fabrication integrated with digital twins.
